THE GUZO PROJECT

Traveling in search of a treasure

The GUZO Project, created by Dawit Tibebu, is named after the Amharic word ‘guzo’, meaning “travel”. One part of the project is a publication that aims to promote threatened heritages that have great history, cultures, natural attractions, and many other treasures. The book is produced by travelling to the sites, studying them, documenting them through high-quality digital technologies and publishing them so that they can inform, inspire and motivate readers to learn about the treasures. In this way, the places can get more visitors, which will contribute to their preservation.

Generally, The GUZO Project bases on producing destination based travel books with a marvel travel writing technique with a lively tour experience with facts and studied information. In addition to publications, hosting photography exhibitions with these indigenous contents; participating in different festivals and art events throughout the world so that the places and history could be reached out globally.
